Looking Back To The Future

2014 has been an extremely busy year for Makak Media with lots of exciting projects from old and new clients alike.

There's been a lot of highlights but below is a small selection of projects that covers the wide variety of Drupal and App development that we provide.

2015 is going to be a interesting year what with Drupal 8 on the horizon plus the BackDrop fork of Drupal 7 being released in January!

Landmark Plc Turn To Open Source Software

Landmark Plc turned to the Open Source software Drupal and Makak Media for two new websites. From design supplied we created the sites for the two arms of their business, premium office space in the heart of London and their IT services business.

Android and Apple Apps For Your Caribbean Trip

Startup business, My Caribbean Offers, needed a backend system to handle supplier submissions and app management, a website to promote the business plus the app design and build itself. Combining a Drupal website and a PhoneGap app, for both Android and Apple, proved a successful match. So if you're off to the Caribbean for your next holiday, firstly lucky you and secondly download the app to get some great offers!

Responsive Content Management Systems

Consultation with both Image Innovations and Emergency Personnel led to designs tailored to their individual needs. Image Innovations needed to show off their broad selection of exhibition work which led to full page image galleries and a blog to detail their outstanding work. Emergency Personnel, last minute supplier and well established healthcare agency, needed to advertise jobs and accept registrations, form submissions and CV uploads.

Just a handful of jobs that made 2014 our most successful of the 9 years that Makak Media has been established!

And to the future...

Drupal 8 is due out soon and we can't wait to build our first site using one of the best Open Source frameworks out there. Plus this Christmas will be our daughter's first and she's already shown a deft touch when it comes to turning off Skype in the middle of a conversations so she's odds on to be a geek ;o)
